The Avon Grove School District board unanimously approved a multi-item consent agenda covering bills, the treasurer’s reports, bus driver list additions, contract extensions and renewals (including an e-rate renewal), a technical-college co-op proposal and several grants and donations.
Mister Parsley moved the consent agenda; the motion carried on a recorded 8–0 vote. The consent agenda consolidated routine operational items so the board could proceed to new business.
Later in the meeting the board paused for a farewell to a departing member. The member — speaking from the dais — reflected on four years of service, citing accomplishments in long-range planning, greater transparency, investments in mental health and school safety and the hiring of a superintendent. Colleagues and district staff offered remarks of appreciation for the member’s leadership and community involvement.
The board also confirmed an executive session had been held the prior day addressing professional personnel matters and announced a brief executive session following the public meeting.
Next steps: the district posted the motion outcomes in minutes and will circulate the departing member’s remarks and routine consent documents as part of the official meeting record.
