Radnor curriculum committee: federal allocations down $61,547; Title I most affected

Miss Moore, presenting the district's federal programs overview on Sept. 16, told the curriculum committee that "our combined allocations this year are $61,547 less than last year," and that the reduction primarily affects Title I funding. She said Title II, Title III and Title IV allocations were "just about the same" while Title I experienced the majority of the decline.

Moore described uses of Title funds for Radnor Township School District (RTSD): Title I dollars will support the Pathfinders after‑school program at Wayne Elementary and Title I math and reading teachers. She said Title II funds support staff development—citing planned attendance at a Hershey PBIS conference for relevant staff—and Title IV money will be used for student support and academic enrichment tied to the district’s belonging initiative and MTSS implementation.

Moore reported a large drop in nonpublic allocations to St. Edmunds: "This year... $4,261" compared with "$39,168" last year, and said the federal formula changed at the federal level. The transcript contains an unclear reference to RTSD’s Title I allocation (a garbled figure transcribed as "$244,000.200"), which the district should clarify before publication.

Moore told the committee the Title funding documentation and Wayne Elementary’s schoolwide plan will be on the full board agenda for a vote on the 30th; she described the stakeholder process used to develop the plan, including meetings with parents and internal teams.

The committee did not take a formal vote on federal funding at the meeting; staff indicated routine grant documentation will be included with board materials and that administration will bring final documents to the September business meeting.
