The town board approved an off-premise permit for Mayan 2022, Inc., which plans a new BP-branded gas station at Stewart's Creek Market.

Hardik Patel introduced himself as an owner and manager of Mayan 2022, Inc. and said the project is a ground-up gas station that will operate as a BP. "It's a it's gonna be a BP gas station," Patel said. He told the board he is currently hiring employees and that he will personally train new hires on ID checks, how to scan IDs at the register, and other point-of-sale procedures.

Patel said he owns another store, Amoville Market, and that the Stewart's Creek location is about a month to a month-and-a-half from opening. Board members moved and seconded approval of the off-premise permit; the meeting record shows the permit was approved and the applicant was advised on pickup timing.

The approval allows the applicant to continue preparations for opening; the transcript does not record additional permit conditions or appeals.
