The Secaucus School District Board of Education approved a package of routine operational items by roll-call vote, including two resolutions on transportation for the 2025–26 school year, authorization for staff participation in New Jersey Department of Education professional development seminars, and a change to the January meeting schedule.
A committee speaker noted the two transportation resolutions covered service for Secaucus municipal offices, district facilities, special community events and CBI and district travel for locations within town for the 2025–26 school year. The board’s operations report included a motion to approve staff participation in New Jersey Department of Education–sponsored development seminars for 2025–26, provided the training complies with state accountability rules and district travel policies.
Under new business the board voted to move the planned January 15 meeting to January 22 to allow more time for reorganization and committee scheduling. A separate motion to table remaining meetings from February onward until after the January 22 meeting was also recorded and supported in roll call.
After discussion the board considered the full agenda as a package and approved it by roll-call vote. The omnibus approval covered the meeting-date change, the two transportation resolutions and the staff professional development authorization. The meeting record shows unanimous recorded "Yes" votes on the omnibus motion.
No members of the public registered items under public forum. The board closed the meeting with New Year remarks and adjourned.
