At the Jan. 5 meeting the council introduced two ordinances for referral to the planning commission: Ordinance 20 20 six‑one, a food‑truck ordinance, and Ordinance 20 20 six‑two, establishing standards and a process for property rezoning within the town. Each ordinance was moved, seconded and referred to the planning commission for review.

In appointments, the council approved the nomination of Jamie Sauer to the Economic Development Commission by voice vote. Councilmembers welcomed Sauer and encouraged public engagement with commission work.

These introductory actions begin the formal review process; the planning commission will review and provide recommendations before any ordinance returns to council for final consideration.
