The Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission on the evening read a list of subdivision and conditional-use cases and voted to continue them until the commission's next meeting on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. Chair (unnamed) said multiple applicants had requested the continuances while staff comments are addressed.
The continuances covered a range of items, including a conditional-use request for a liquor store at 5250 Medford Drive (case C122514), the Yates addition final map for parts of Caliente Drive and Martinwood Estates (S092536), preliminary and final map requests for Black Ridge commercial lots and multiple residential subdivisions (Everly phase 1F, Collier Valley, and others), and a replat for Birch Tree Swim and Racquet Club. The chair told affected applicants they would not receive additional mailed notices and must appear on Feb. 2.
"I'll make a motion, to continue all the cases read except for case SDash122554 to read survey of Lot 1901 at Trace Crossings," a commissioner (unnamed) moved. Another commissioner seconded the motion. The commission approved the motion by voice vote; the chair then announced the cases would be carried to the next meeting.
The commission did not record roll-call tallies for the continuance vote; the decision was taken by a voice vote. The chair reiterated the date and time for the next meeting and noted that applicants should be prepared to address staff comments when their items return.
