Board approves consent agenda, confirms Abby Daniels as assistant principal

The Radnor Township School District board approved the consent agenda covering items 9.01 through 14.03 during its Oct. 28 meeting, advancing routine contracts, personnel and vendor approvals. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved and seconded and carried with board members indicating unanimous support.
Among the consent items was the appointment of Abby Daniels as assistant principal at Radnor Elementary School. Dr. McNamara and others on the dais introduced Daniels as a current teacher and coach at the middle school, describing her experience with student data, instructional practice support and leadership. The board formally welcomed Ms. Daniels after the consent vote.
Amy McNally, president of the Radnor Township Education Association, addressed the board during public comment and expressed the association’s support for the appointment, saying Daniels is “a problem solver,” “a relationship builder” and “a data expert” who will “never forget that she is a teacher.” McNally urged appreciation for the administration’s decision to recognize internal talent.
The consent agenda also included contract approvals noted in finance committee reporting, such as a pool-use agreement and vendor/aid-service approvals; the board did not discuss those items individually during the meeting.
