District building projects staff provided an update on multiple construction sites and reported missed deadlines for several scheduled completions.

A district representative said Town Acres work (including rock breaking) was ahead of expectations but that three projects scheduled for December completion (Mountain View, Cherokee and Northside) were not finished. "The skilled services didn't get any of the projects completed in the December like they were supposed to. Today was the deadline day. So tomorrow, they start paying damages," the presenter said, noting a meeting with the contractor would be held the following morning to review the contractor's plan and schedule.

District staff told the board they expect Mountain View could finish by the end of the week, but "worst case" was estimated as the end of the month. Board members asked questions about surprises encountered on site; presenters reported only a few small unexpected conditions and said they were managing them.

The update was informational and the board did not take a formal vote on contracting action at the meeting; staff indicated they will report back after the contractor meeting.
