The City Council closed the public hearing on the Tamalpais Park Street Tree Assessment District at its June 16 meeting after staff reported no protests and read one written comment from the neighborhood association.
Andrew Poster of Public Works explained the assessment district supports specialized tree maintenance in the Tamalpais Park neighborhood and raises roughly $12,000 annually. The neighborhood association’s written comment, from Burton Miller (association president), reiterated support for the district and said the group will work with staff to consider future rate adjustments to expand maintenance.
Council closed the hearing by motion, directed the city clerk on the requisite filings with the Marin County auditor, and thanked the neighborhood association and staff for ongoing coordination.
