Edward A. Schenck was sworn in as mayor at the GreenTree Borough reorganization meeting. "I, Edward a Schenck, do solemnly swear ... that I will discharge my duties as mayor of the Borough of GreenTree with fidelity," Schenck said during the oath of office.
The council then moved through the meeting’s organizational business. David Ray was nominated and elected council president; Rob Campbell was recommended and approved as vice president. In his first statement after the election, Ray said his priorities will include expanding resident engagement, adding a second opportunity for public comment at meetings and improving audio-visual access so residents can follow meetings remotely. "My focus as council president will be on expanding opportunities for resident engagement and improving access to our meetings," Ray said.
Council also voted to set the borough’s regular monthly meeting schedule for 2026, designating the first Monday of each month as the regular meeting date (with a few timing exceptions noted in the motion). The body designated PNC Bank and the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust as the borough’s official depository and named the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the official borough publication after a brief discussion about statutory circulation requirements.
