Oakdale — The City Council recognized the Oakdale Saddle Club for winning the California Pro Rodeo Circuit medium‑rodeo of the year.

Club representatives Norm and Ed told the council the rodeo is volunteer‑led and that added prize money and community support helped the club earn the honor. "Rodeo has come home," one member said, and both thanked the city for assistance with facilities and volunteer coordination.

Mayor Barrios and councilmembers offered congratulations and invited the club for a photo with the council. The council noted the club’s volunteer base includes public‑works, police, fire and many community volunteers.
