The Cheyenne Finance Committee on Jan. 6 recommended the City Council adopt a resolution approving a three‑year sponsorship between Bison Beverage and Cheyenne Frontier Days for 2026 through 2028.

City Clerk Kylie Soden told the committee that approval by the licensing authority is required under Wyoming statute 12‑5‑402, which regulates transactions between alcohol-industry representatives and retail liquor license holders. She said the event qualifies for a statutory exception because it is a nonprofit tax‑exempt organization that has operated continuously for more than two years.

A representative identified as Hersing, speaking for Cheyenne Frontier Days, said "this is pretty self explanatory" and thanked the committee for its longstanding relationship with the Lowe family and Bison Beverage.

Councilman Esquivel moved to adopt the resolution; Councilman Wolf seconded. The committee recorded unanimous affirmative responses and recommended adoption at the Monday City Council meeting. No public comment was received on the item at the meeting.

The resolution will be considered by the full council at its next scheduled meeting.
