Valerie Scott was elected president of the Ambridge Area School District board during the reorganization portion of Wednesday’s meeting after accepting a nomination and surviving a roll-call vote. The board then elected Kathy Fisher vice president and re-elected Garrett Kvasovich treasurer for the 2026–27 term.
The board also approved the district’s schedule of regular meetings and 'meet and discuss' sessions (generally second and third Wednesdays, with an adjusted November date for Veterans Day) and adopted reorganization ballots recommended for the Beaver Valley Joint School Board and related joint bodies. The motion to adopt the ballots passed on voice/roll-call vote as presented.
In appointments to inter-district bodies, the board named Mrs. Kehoe as the district representative and Mrs. Curtis as alternate to the Beaver County Career and Technology Center joint operating committee for the stated three-year term; Mrs. Kvasovich and Mr. Gill were appointed as the district’s representatives to the Laughlin Memorial Library for 2026.
