The Evanston City Council approved a grant agreement with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to design and print 3,000 new historic downtown walking-tour brochures.

Parks and Historic Preservation staff reported that SHPO will provide $3,720 and that the Historic Preservation Commission will provide a 40% local match of $2,480, bringing total project costs to $6,200. Staff noted the project must be completed by 2027 and said the commission expects to finish the redesign and printing sooner; printed brochures will be distributed at city hall, the chamber of commerce, the Uinta County Museum, Bear River State Park, and local hotels, restaurants and shops, and a digital version will be made available online.

The council adopted Resolution 2603 by voice vote.
