At the annual Albemarle County Architectural Review Board meeting on Jan. 5, members completed routine organizational business and acted on several agenda items.

Leadership and administrative actions: the board approved Chris Henningsen as chair and Frank Hancock as vice chair by voice votes after nominations. Members adopted the 2026 ARB submittal and meeting schedule and the ARB rules of procedure.

Votes on project items: the board approved certificates of appropriateness for ARB2025-00030 (Micro Air addition) and ARB2025-00031 (Airport Industrial final site plan), each with staff-identified revisions (see separate articles). The board also approved a motion to hold a follow-up work session on alternate masonry coatings for ARB2025-00022 (Crozet Fast Mart).

Other business: the board approved the December minutes, set the next meeting for Tuesday, Jan. 20, and adjourned the meeting at approximately 02:25.

These procedural items were decided by voice vote during the meeting’s roll call and motion votes.
