The Urbana City Council on Jan. 5 approved two liquor-license items on the consent agenda, including a resolution tied to Parkadia and a change-of-ownership filing for Champagne Pit Stop Inc.
On behalf of the committee of the whole, Council member Jaya moved approval of a resolution recorded in the proceedings as "2025-12-094" approving an increase in the number of liquor licenses in the class INC designation for Champaign Urbana Adventures in Time and Space LLC, doing business as Parkadia at 302 North Broadway Avenue, Suite 100, Urbana. The clerk called roll and recorded affirmative votes; the motion passed.
Staff and council also considered resolution 2026-01-001R concerning Champagne Pit Stop Incorporated at 1812 North Cunningham Avenue. City staff clarified the item was a change in ownership rather than a net increase in the number of class P licenses; the council moved the item to the consent agenda and approved it without further debate.
Both items were handled on the consent agenda and approved by the council. The meeting record lists the motions and the roll-call result for the Parkadia item; Champagne Pit Stop was described on the record as a change in ownership. The council did not discuss additional conditions or amendments to either item during the session.
The council adjourned after completing business; no appeals or requests to remove these consent items were recorded during the meeting.
