CARSON CITY — The Carson City Reclamation Authority met Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, and approved the minutes of Dec. 1, 2025, and a consent calendar covering items 3–5, the board said.
The meeting opened with a reading of the rules of decorum and a flag salute, followed by an invocation by a board member. The board conducted roll call and noted one absence during early business; the clerk later recorded Board member Aldridge as present for the meeting.
On procedural business, Speaker 6 moved to approve the Dec. 1 minutes and called for a second; the motion carried and the clerk recorded that Board member Aldridge was absent for that vote. The board then voted to approve the consent calendar (items 3–5) after Speaker 6 moved and someone seconded the motion; no member pulled any consent item for separate discussion.
During staff reports, a project manager identified as Speaker 2 said the Leonardo construction contract included 16 weather days in its schedule and that the project had used all of them because of heavy rain in November and December. "We had 16 weather days built into the contract in the schedule And we had more ... So they're all gone," Speaker 2 said, adding that staff will work with the contractor to adjust the schedule and resume work when conditions dry.
On the authority's finances, a treasurer (Speaker 7) said borrowed funds had been transferred into the account used to pay bills and stated, "We're solvent." The board had earlier confirmed there would be no closed session at the meeting and that the closed-session item would be continued to the next meeting.
In other business, Speaker 6 announced a Martin Luther King Jr. birthday program planned for Friday, Jan. 9, at the Carson Center (also referenced in the meeting as the Juanita McDonough Community/Community Center), with doors opening at 6 p.m. The speaker invited community attendance to support performers and staff.
The authority concluded routine business with acknowledgments and adjourned.
