Finance Director Brett Thomas told commissioners he had nine resolutions, largely housekeeping and start‑of‑year financial items. The package included three amendments to prior appropriation and transfer resolutions, an expenditure adjustment, a sales tax receipt in the amount of $4,679,131.81 for 2025, an engagement letter for Local Government Services Division assistance with preparation of annual financial statements for $45,000 (this is not the state audit itself), a declaration of excess property with items to be auctioned, travel and association expenses for engineer and county officials, and weekly bills totaling $681,884.23.
A commissioner moved to approve the nine resolutions as presented; the board approved them by roll call. Thomas said the LGS engagement is for preparation of financial statements rather than the formal state audit.
No motions to amend or hold any of the financial items were recorded; commissioners thanked staff for the work and moved on to the next agenda items.
