A Hamilton Center representative told Greene County commissioners on Jan. 6 that the center served 918 Greene County patients in the reporting period, of whom 703 were adults and 412 received addiction treatment.
The presenter said 343 people received both addiction and mental‑health services. Fiscal‑year 2025 totals included 8,846 clinical encounters and 298 inpatient days. The representative reported combined expenses for the Bloomfield and Linton offices of $2,474,841 and $46,773 in charity care; 23 staff members live in Greene County.
Commissioners asked about staffing challenges and how rural retention compares with larger cities. The Hamilton Center representative said staff longevity is improving in Bloomfield and Linton (highlighting a therapist with three years and a care manager with five years at the Bloomfield office) but noted rural counties face a broader challenge recruiting and retaining clinicians. The representative described the center's top referral sources as law enforcement, self-referral, DCS and hospitals.
The presentation was described as drawn from a centralized dashboard the center maintains; commissioners praised the clarity of the report and asked staff to continue delivering the summary.
