Denison planners outline residential architectural standards; P&Z hearing set for Jan. 13

Phyllis Jarrell of City Centric Planning presented proposed residential architectural standards to the Denison City Council on Jan. 5, saying the rules aim to help infill development blend with existing neighborhoods while encouraging a variety of housing types. “For single family, duplex, triplex, and quadruplex, were focusing on building articulation,” Jarrell said, explaining a builder would be required to choose three architectural features (porches, brackets, dormers, bay windows and similar elements) to add variety to facades.
