Members approved acceptance and appropriation of $3,657,594 in Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funds for program year 2026 and accepted a $350,000 income-eligible retrofits weatherization grant for 2026. The committee also approved amendments to purchase orders for weatherization work: an increase of $180,000 to Healthy Air Heating and Air Inc. (purchase order 77910001) and $180,000 to My Greenhouse HVAC LLC (purchase order 77920001), both reflecting additional funding from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
On procurement for the DuPage Care Center, members approved a contract with CDW Government for computer hardware, peripherals, software and licensing not to exceed $55,000 for Jan. 14, 2026—Jan. 13, 2027, and a purchase order to Medline Industries Inc. for mobile recliners not to exceed $36,579.85.
The committee also approved a resolution awarding Family Shelter Service a contract to provide advocacy services for victims of domestic violence for the period Dec. 1, 2025—Nov. 30, 2026, for an amount not to exceed $85,000. Travel authorizations approved included an Inform USA conference trip for the community services administrator (estimated $2,820). A separate travel authorization for the community services director to attend a NACo board meeting in Maui (estimated $3,554) was discussed and had a motion to move it to February.
All of the above motions were approved by voice vote during the meeting unless a roll-call vote was recorded in the transcript. The committee adjourned after completing the agenda.
