The Sustainability Advisory Board opened its Jan. 5 meeting with roll call, then moved to approve minutes from the Nov. 3 meeting; a member moved the motion and another seconded it, and a voice 'Aye' was recorded. Board members discussed the 2026 meeting calendar in light of election and Planning Commission conflicts, considered moving the April meeting to avoid other events, and tentatively set Thursday, April 8 (with an earlier discussion around April 9) and Thursday, Nov. 5 as meeting dates subject to room and commission schedules.
Board members asked staff—referred to in the meeting as 'Emma'—to confirm room availability and potential conflicts with Planning Commission and council schedules before finalizing dates. The board also cataloged several items for future meetings and a workshop, including an update on Chapter 26 (trees and vegetation), zoning-code revisions, a sustainability plan status update following council approval, farmers market scheduling and resources, and a proposed rain-barrel and stormwater-credits workshop.
At the end of the agenda the board scheduled its next meeting for Monday, Feb. 2, and moved to adjourn into a workshop; the motion passed on a voice 'Aye.'
