Kootenai County commissioners approved multiple airport-related items on Jan. 6, including a lease assignment and expansion for No Limits Aviation Group and an environmental review work order for northwest airport property.
Kim Stevenson, speaking for the airport, requested consent to assign the existing lease (AAL202991) from No Limits Aviation, Inc. to No Limits Aviation Group, Inc. She also said the lessee is requesting an increase from 12,600 square feet to 14,000 square feet on its leased lot. "They are currently at 12,600 square feet and are requesting their lease lot go to 14,000 square feet," Stevenson said. The board approved both the consent to assignment and the lease addendum by recorded vote.
Stevenson also presented airport work order WO25-12 to contract Ardura Group, Inc. for an environmental review of a northwest parcel (adjacent to Empire Airlines and north of Runway 6) to evaluate potential taxiways, hangars and aprons. She said the work is not currently eligible for FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding and staff proposed using Fund 30 (fund balance) to cover the cost, with a not-to-exceed amount of $10,000. After discussion confirming the work was not budgeted and would be funded from fund balance, commissioners approved the work order and its funding authorization.
