The consent agenda included payment of bills for Dec. 17 through Jan. 6; commission reappointment renewals; cost-of-living increases for the accountant technician, city clerk and public works supervisor; adoption of resolutions identified as '17 66 a' and '17 66 b' to designate city banks; a temporary liquor license for the Saint Paul Park Newport Lions Club event on Feb. 7; and approvals of business and contractor licenses, including Hearth and Home Technologies, Manconti Munitions LLC, and Highland Sanitation. "It was a kind of a unique year because we had some midyear hires and some midyear promotions," said Council member Spencer, adding that the administrative committee approved the wage increases. The council approved the consent agenda 5-0.
Mayor (Unidentified) read a list of staff and administrative assignments that will remain in place, naming Hugo Miffy as city administrator, city attorney Kennedy Graybed, city clerk Amy Trueler, city engineer WSB, and finance director Dawn Monahan. The mayor also identified the legal newspaper as the Saint Paul Pioneer Press.
