Statesboro’s newly constituted City Council held an organizational meeting that included the formal swearing-in of returning mayor Jonathan McCullough and council members Tangie Johnson and John Reeves.
Pastor Greg Craig Trimble opened the session with a prayer. Tangie Johnson and John Reeves each answered the oath administered by the presiding official; Judge Deloge administered the oath to returning Mayor Jonathan McCullough. After the swearing-in, the council paused for an official photograph and returned the gavel to McCullough before beginning agenda business.
