The Marshall Public School District board voted to approve budget parameters to guide the development of the 2026–27 budget.

Board members praised staff work compiling the parameters and said they are intended as a guiding document as the district plans for potential budget reductions, pending settlements and anticipated state funding changes. A board member said the parameters reflect prior-year numbers and aim to keep the district on course while monitoring inflation and other pressures.

The motion to adopt the parameters was moved and seconded and the chair called the vote, which the board approved by voice vote. The transcript does not include a roll-call tally.

Board members said they will return to the parameters if additional information emerges during budget development.
