The Trenton City Council on Jan. 5 approved a slate of municipal appointments and authorized nearly $2.93 million in disbursements for city operations.
Mayor Rezeppa presented four personnel actions: the appointment of Selena Peters to the Cultural Commission; Ronald Lammers as an alternate to the Traffic Safety Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals; and the reappointment of Jennifer Blackledge to the Planning Commission for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2029. The council moved and supported the appointments; the clerk recorded an abstention by Mayor Rezeppa and the motion carried.
Councilman Benedetti also moved to receive and place on file a line‑item adjustment to the 2025 budget submitted by the 30 Third District Court. The council voted to receive and place that submission on file without discussion.
The council approved the authorized disbursements for Jan. 5, 2026, in the amount of $2,925,594.96. The mayor called for any discussion and, seeing none, declared the disbursement list unanimously approved.
The meeting record shows routine board business completed with no further substantive debate on these items. The council recessed to closed session later in the evening for litigation matters.
