Tooele County confirms board and commission appointments, reappointments

At the Jan. 6, 2026 meeting the Tooele County Commission approved multiple board and commission appointments.
Councilman Wardle moved to appoint Jonathan Hogan and Dean Alder to the Weeds Control Board to fill four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2029; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Wardle thanked Victor Warr for his years of service to the board.
Councilman Thomas moved to appoint Richard Mitchell and Kevin Christiansen to the Planning and Zoning Commission for four-year terms (expiring 2029) and to appoint Cliff Warner to an intern position (term expiring 2027); the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The chair welcomed the appointees and thanked them for volunteering.
Councilman Strumberg moved to reappoint Cheryl (who had been serving as interim) to a full term and to reappoint Matthew Jackson for a second term on the Board of Health; Councilman Hoffman seconded and the commission approved both reappointments by voice vote. Meeting records indicate Matthew Jackson served as Board of Health chair over the last year.
All appointments and reappointments on the agenda were adopted by voice vote.
