The clerk announced that Summer Owen would serve as chief teller for officer elections and that the rules and executive-session votes to open and close the private session passed on recorded roll calls.
Committee chair and vice-chair assignments announced included: Rules (Chair: Brad McKittrick; Vice Chair: Jeff Fusco); Budget and Finance (Chair: Phil Lombardo; Vice Chair: Linda Amobian); Planning and Economic Development (Chair: Jeff Fusco; Vice Chair: Donnie Kammer); Public Service, Public Utilities and Green (Chair: Donnie Kammer; Vice Chair: Brad McKittrick); Public Safety (Chair: Brad McKittrick; Vice Chair: Donnie Kammer); Parks and Recreation (Chair: Sharon Connor); Housing and Neighborhood Assistance (Chair: Bruce Bolden; Vice Chair: Eric Garrett); and Health and Social Services (Chair: Jan Davis; Vice Chair: Linda Amobian).
Council leadership said the executive session was convened solely to deliberate committee appointments. After the assignments were read into the record, the chair closed the organizational portion of the meeting and called the regular council session to order.
