Canal Winchester — The city’s development director told council members Jan. 5 that a full planning and zoning agenda is posted for next week, with multiple Miller Farms items expected to draw attention.
Development Director Hare said the planning and zoning agenda includes a final development plan for sub-area A of Miller Farms (the single-family portion) and a rezoning request plus a preliminary plan for a project called the Estates at Miller Farms, located west of Miller Farms along Hayes Road. Hare identified Rockford Homes as the applicant for sub-area A and Wilcox Communities as the applicant for the Estates at Miller Farms.
Council members asked whether developer names would be available prior to approvals; Hare said he expected builders typically to be identified after development-plan approvals and that multiple builders had previously expressed interest in Miller Farms parcels.
Hare also reminded council members about a library ribbon-cutting scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at the new library location, 123 Grove Court Road, and encouraged attendance.
What happens next: The planning and zoning commission will consider the listed items at its upcoming meeting; any final development-plan approvals or rezoning decisions will return to council as required.
