Speaker 3 told the board he reviewed the financial breakdown with staff during the meeting and moved to approve the MOA.
The sheriff’s department presented a $3,715 quote from Global Fire Sprinklers LLC to evaluate the department’s sprinkler system; the commission approved proceeding with that inspection work to maintain insurance and safety compliance.
Personnel actions added to the amended agenda included the formal hiring of a jailer (Miss Ervin) and approval to hire Aaron Lawrence as a deputy following Greg Graham’s pending departure. The board also authorized staff to pursue a 100% Jack Byrne grant to equip officers with shields and protective gear and voted to move the grant application forward.
