Lamar County resident says garbage pickups skip wet roads; commissioners promise to meet vendor

Commissioners acknowledged the complaint, said fleet problems have contributed to missed pickups and told Hodgson they would meet with the vendor’s local management that day. Commissioners raised options including stronger vendor oversight and the possibility of bringing collection in‑house to have more direct control over schedules and routes.
