Clay County commissioners agreed Thursday to let staff issue a request for proposals seeking a circulator transit service to move visitors and residents around the Northland during the 2026 World Cup.
Commissioner Wagner framed the item as a cooperative effort between Clay and Platte counties under the Go North KC umbrella and asked staff to put the transit concept out to market to see what commercial providers might propose. Wagner said the county is not being asked to pay the full cost. "We're not asking Clay County to foot that bill," he said.
