Faribault school board elects 2026 officers by acclamation

John Bellingham was elected chair of the Faribault Public School District board by acclamation at the board’s organizational meeting on Jan. 5, 2026. With no other nominations, the board declared Bellingham chair and directed the clerk to record the action.
Chad Wolf was named vice chair, Cassie Steeves was chosen to continue as clerk and Linda Boudreau was elected treasurer. The board followed the process explained at the start of the meeting: officers are nominated one position at a time, and a single nominee is elected by acclamation.
The newly elected chair said he appreciated the trust placed in him for the 2026 year. The clerk was asked to record all officer elections in the official minutes. The board then moved on to remaining organizational business including committee and school assignments.
