Drainage Service District staff explained that large‑diameter trees in the 1C9 drain on the south side of Mazama School are restricting maintenance and blocking flows when they fall. The district solicited three local bids and recommended awarding the work to Absolute Tree Care Service for $25,500. A commissioner moved and the board authorized issuing a purchase order to Absolute Tree Care Service; funds will come from the drainage service district's contract services line item.

The work is intended to allow routine maintenance of the drainage canal and reduce the risk of blocked flows during storms.
