Beaufort County Parks to hold two community center groundbreakings this week

The Wesley E. Felix Community Center groundbreaking is set for 10 a.m. tomorrow at 179 Ballpark Road on Saint Helena Island. Eric Brown, director of the county Parks and Recreation Department, is scheduled to welcome guests and give opening remarks; Council member York Glover (District 3) will offer congratulatory acknowledgments.
On Friday at 10 a.m., Parks and Recreation will break ground on the Agnes A. Major Community Center at 21 Agnes Major Road in Sheldon. Brown will again welcome attendees and Council member Gerald Dawson (District 1) will provide remarks.
