Beaufort County’s public calendar includes multiple free events and community notices this week, BCTV announced Friday.
Crystal Lake Park will host a free 90-minute guided birding walk Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at 124 Ladies Island Drive, highlighting species that reside in the county. “Crystal Lake Park will host a free 1 and a half hour guided birding walk this morning,” said Chloe G, the BCTV host.
The Beaufort Area Hospitality Association will kick off the sixth annual Buford Oyster Festival with a Tides to Tables restaurant week from Jan. 9–18 and festival events Jan. 17–18 at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, including a 5K run, live music, vendors and local oysters. A special tasting event featuring about 15 area restaurants will be held Saturday at Tabby Place at Beaufort Inn.
The city of Beaufort will offer a free hands-on photography workshop on Monday, Jan. 13, aimed at strengthening a regional network of photographers and supporting local marketing and storytelling; registration is available via the city’s press release page.
