CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — During its Jan. 6 meeting the Cabell County Board of Education approved several routine items and discussed next steps for facility projects.

- Consent agenda: Miss Neely moved to approve the consent items and Miss Smalley seconded; the board adopted the consent agenda by voice vote with no recorded opposition.

- Personnel: The board moved to approve personnel items (motion recorded and seconded) and approved them by voice vote.

- School calendar revision: The board approved a revision to the 2025–26 school calendar that shifts a curriculum development day to Feb. 9 and designates Feb. 10 as the makeup OS day; March 13 becomes a regular instructional day.
