The City Commission set a public hearing for Jan. 26, 2026 to consider rezoning 4301 Stadium Drive from residential multi‑dwelling (RM‑15) and residential single dwelling (RS‑5) to community commercial (CC).

Staff reviewed venue options; some commissioners and many public commenters urged moving the hearing to a larger off‑site venue to accommodate expected turnout. City staff recommended City Hall because the commission’s infrastructure there reliably supports phone‑in public comment, live streaming, and staff operations. Commissioners and members of the public discussed specific accessibility and crowd‑management measures (seat reservation or ticketing, reserved front‑row seating for mobility needs, overflow viewing, and enhanced signage and staffing).
