The Kalamazoo City Commission approved its consent agenda on Jan. 5, confirming a package of administrative items, contracts and donations.
Key items included a sole‑source 3‑year contract with VDA Labs for CrowdStrike Falcon MSSP cybersecurity services ($274,483.50), a 3‑year cooperative contract extension with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for $199,200, the acceptance of a $30,000 donation from Kalamazoo Friends of Recreation for Verbrecht Park renovations, and a $50,000 grant from the Irvin S. Gilmore Foundation for downtown ambassadors.
