The City of Perris Planning Commission on Jan. 7 approved its consent calendar, including two clerical and record-correction matters and a recommendation tied to the Perris Gateway Commercial Center.

Vice Chair Shively moved to approve the consent calendar excluding item 5b; Commissioner Lopez seconded and the motion passed with four votes in favor and one abstention. Commissioners later considered item 5b — including corrections staff noted to the memorandum — and Commissioner Lopez moved to adopt Resolution 25-24. The commission approved Resolution 25-24 by a 5-0 vote; staff noted the resolution and supporting documents would be forwarded to the City Council as the commission’s recommendation.

The items included references to prior Planning Commission actions (Dec. 3, 2025) and a series of financing tentative parcel maps, conditional use permits and development plan reviews linked to the Perris Gateway Commercial Center. The commission entered letters and statements (including a Caltrans Division of Aeronautics letter and RCALUC statement) into the record for later consideration.

Records: The approved motion and votes will be included in the meeting minutes and the resolution will be transmitted to City Council for action consistent with Planning Commission procedures.
