Register of Deeds reports higher recordings and revenue in 2025

Nicole also noted that data previously posted to the county’s FairPoint site was incorrect; she reprinted the report and confirmed the online information has been corrected. The register said some increases in marriage records were attributable to Real ID processing demand.
Commissioners asked follow-up questions about fee amounts and the timing of fee changes; Nicole said some fee increases took effect earlier in the year and that the county's 20% portion of certain transfer fees contributed to the rise.
