The Neighborhood Commission presented a nomination to the Sierra Vista City Council recognizing Todd Lisonbee and highlighting the volunteer cleanup work of Mister Blackaby, who spent about 40 hours removing extensive trash and debris from a culvert along State Route 90 at Colonial Desalude.
Mr. McLaughlin explained the nomination came from Code Enforcement Officer Bill Shuldeis and said the awards program was established to spotlight individuals making a difference in the community. The commission indicated awards are given on a nominated basis and that nominees are reviewed and recommended unanimously to council.
Staff noted the award is an acknowledgment only and carries no monetary value. Rosie Mackey was asked to stand in to present the recognition if Julia cannot attend the scheduled presentation.
