Beresford council approves $746,000 year-end transfers, adopts 2026 wages

Council also authorized reserve transfers including a $40,000 allocation to the fire department fund drawn from earmarked liquor receipts and other reserves, a $100,000 scheduled deposit for a planned electric department vehicle purchase (second of three deposits), and a recommendation to move $300,000 from the telephone fund based on year-end balances to an investment account. Officials said the transfers are intended to clear balances and position departments for planned purchases and ongoing operations.
