Crest Hill council approves engineer pay increase, title change and treasurer office move after executive session

City Administrator Blaine Wing reported the council agreed to adjust the city engineer’s salary range to $107,926–$149,312 and to grant a $12,000 increase plus a $6,000 stipend, yielding a new base of $135,100 and a total of $141,100. The council also approved changing the position title to Director of Engineering. Council recorded the increase as effective Jan. 6.
Council then approved relocating the city treasurer’s physical office from City Hall to the Public Works building on Oakland Avenue, authorizing the administrator to implement the executive-session direction.
Both actions were enacted by roll-call votes after the council returned to regular session at about 10:21 p.m. The minutes indicate these items grew from closed-session personnel and facilities discussions; the clerk recorded the motions and roll calls.
