McCann said crews will stage bucket and loader trucks, use on-site police to control traffic, and submitted a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan to the city. “If we see that traffic is backing up, we will cease on that and allow traffic to go through,” McCann said, adding the contractor will stop work and reopen lanes when necessary.

Deputy Mayor and other council members asked staff to require a single consolidated schedule and to confirm all planned dates and MOT details before work proceeds.
