County Clerk Cindy Swenson presented a notice of intent to adopt uniform rules and regulations for public records, which the county will advertise and open for a 45‑day public comment period. Swenson said written comments would be received by March 2 and a public hearing would be held March 17. The commission voted to proceed with the notice by unanimous voice vote.
Under Sheriff Joe Tomich presented a notice of intent to establish regulations and a permitting process for oversized and overweight vehicles and loads on county roads. The clerk’s office completed legal advertising; written comments will be accepted through Feb. 20 with a public hearing at the March 3 board meeting. Commissioners voted unanimously to publish the notice and begin the permitting process.
Public Works Director Gene Ligurski presented a renewal package required by the Bureau of Land Management for County Road 97 (BLM form SF‑299). The commission approved the SF‑299 form and authorized the chair to sign necessary documents; motion by Commissioner Richards, seconded by Commissioner Jones, carried unanimously.
All three items were treated as procedural notices to begin public outreach and the administrative process; no substantive policy changes were decided beyond authorization to proceed.
