Town board keeps current officers, recommends two members for four-year terms

The town board voted to retain its current officers and approved recommendations to present two members for reappointment to the town board.
During the election-of-officers portion of the meeting, Speaker 2 said she did not want to continue as secretary, stating, “I do not wanna be secretary anymore,” and cited time constraints from multiple jobs. Despite that comment, the membership voted to keep the officers as they are for the coming term.
Separately, Speaker 1 moved that Katie Michael and Ronnie Vandever be presented to the town board on Jan. 12 for another four-year term. Speaker 2 seconded the motion; the roll-call vote recorded affirmative responses from Jimmy Durnell, Laura Hale, Katie Michael and Emily Kelly and the motion passed.
The actions taken are procedural recommendations to the town board; the meeting did not itself enact a town-board-level appointment but forwarded the nominations for consideration on Jan. 12.
