Commissioners expressed concern that the MOU lacks fixed dollar amounts and leaves open-ended responsibilities (IT hardware, equipment and other operating items) with no guaranteed cap. Staff noted that salary and wage amounts had been approved in separate documents in prior years and that the county already provides building infrastructure such as internet, Wi-Fi and power. Commissioners requested historical expenditure data over the past two to three years and asked that the extension coordinator provide an annual operating budget proposal so the county can exercise due diligence before final approval. The board agreed to review the contract text during the next 20-day period and asked staff to compile clearer financial line items before the vote.
No final action was taken at the meeting; commissioners indicated they would revisit the MOU after receiving requested data and possible contractual revisions.
