Steve Castle, director of the Town of Templeton’s public-access channel TCTV, told the Select Board on Jan. 5 that digital signage could modernize town messaging and generate revenue for the station. Castle said a single LED monument sign for Town Hall, as previously spec’d, could cost roughly $40,000–$50,000 and that a payback period of two to three years was achievable if advertising and sponsorships were structured appropriately. “We need these revenue streams. Without them, I don't think we can make it,” he said.
